Korean Symphony Concert at Ton Duc Thang University

On the evening of 11 January, 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) collaborated with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City to organize a symphony concert with the theme "Korean friends of Vietnam". This is the first Korean music program to be held in Vietnam with the participation of many famous Korean symphony artists. This show was sponsored by Shinhan Bank and some other organizations.

There were many artists attending this event: Lynn Czae (representative and piano musician), Hugh Sung (Pianist), YooKyung Min (Violinist), Seula Czae (Violinist), Hwajin Lee (Violinist), ChanUk Kang (Cellist), Seughee Cha (Sopranist), Yujung Bae (Sopranist), Huynho Kim (Bassist). Most artists are studying abroad in the US and Germany and are currently participating in music performances worldwide. Their works are of different genres ranging from Western church music to the classical (pop opera) and are elaborately and grandly orchestrated.

The Korea - Vietnam Concert in the beginning of 2019 has brought to TDTU teachers and students the outburst moments to be immersed in the sound world thanks to the talented performances by the artists. Especially, the money raised from the program will be used to help TDTU students who are in difficult circumstances and fund other volunteer activities. This is not only a music exchange event, but also an opportunity to consolidate the friendship between Korea and Vietnam.
