On December 23rd, 2017, the delegation of Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association led by President U Tint Swai visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Welcoming the delegation was Vice Presidents Dr. Tran Trong Dao and Dr. Vo Hoang Duy as well as Departments’ Heads and Centers’ Directors under TDTU.
After being given a campus tour, Mr. U Tint Swai and the delegation expressed a strong impression of (i) a modern university catching up with other European ones and (ii) its rapid development. "TDTU has a complete and modern infrastructure that is an ideal environment for cultural exchanges and education between young people in Myanmar and Vietnam," said U Tint Swai.
On the occasion of the visit, TDTU discussed the possibility of cooperation with the universities of Myanmar. Dr. Tran Trong Dao also announced the TDTU scholarship policy for Myanmar students; proposed the Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association to be a practical bridge between TDTU and the Myanmar student community which provides information and support to young generations of Myanmar to have the opportunity to study at TDTU and contribute to the development of educational relations between the two countries.
