Duc Thien Nguyen is an Industrial designer of Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts at Ton Duc Thang University. It is an honor to announce that Duc Thien won the 1^st place at Perky Pet wild bird seed feeders - Student Design Competition 2017 with the prize valued at US$ 1,500. The competition is launched by Perky Pet – USA Woodstream organization to honor outstanding designers from around the world and aims to seek the efficiency solution in raising and feeding wild birds.

Based on the idea of Duc Thien, Perky Pet believes this is not only a modern beautiful bird extraction tray but also an impressive eco-friendly product made of bamboo material. By the design, users can easily notice the food amount left in the tray feeder to fill the supplement in time. At the moment, Perky Pet starts the production and distribution in the US market.

Award winner Duc Thien shows the abilities of students in Vietnam in general and TDTU students in particular. They are absolutely capable of competing with international students if they are well-educated and trained in a good environment with necessary supports.

Thien is also a special inspiration for Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts students. If you have a dream, dream it big. Don’t be hesitated in setting big goals and striving for them. It is the most effective encouragement for all students in TDTU: "Think, be creative, set and go!"
