On October 29, 2017, at Auditorium A of TDTU, HCMC Study Promotion Association held a Traditional Day of Study Promotion and offered scholarships of the 2017-2018 academic year to 581 students with a total of VND 1,829,600,000. This is the annual event of the Association. However, it is the first event of the Association organized at such a big auditorium of TDTU.

The Study Promotion Scholarship (the 1 & 1 scholarship is based on 1 Sponsor - 1 student model) is the characteristic of the HCMC Association for Study Promotion, which is highly appreciated by the Vietnam Association for Study Promotion and awarded the Study Promotion Award for the initiative and successful implementation of this model. After 17 years of implementation, the Scholarship Program has awarded over 2,400 students with the support of 552 individuals, 40 organizations, corporations and companies with the total amount of nearly 21 billion VND.

The Traditional Day of Study Promotion and Award Ceremony took place successfully at TDTU, which is the first university in Ho Chi Minh City to establish the internal Association for Study Promotion Fund (in January 2017). It is also currently implementing the 1 & 1 Scholarships Program with lecturers’ voluntary financial contributions to the Fund as well as gathering, mobilizing more resources from the business friends and enthusiastic alumni of TDTU.
